River Canal Rescue has joined forces with ABC Leisure Group to offer all moorers a discounted membership package.
Available from March, ABC has agreed to pay the costs of RCR’s retainer cover for its almost 400 members. The package includes; nationwide breakdown assistance and recovery, home start and provision pick-up, crisis co-ordination and technical phone assistance 24/7. Each call-out costs £45 and provides an onsite engineer for up to two hours.
ABC customers who are already members of RCR will receive a 20% discount while they continue to moor at one of its 10 marinas across the UK.
RCR managing director Stephanie Horton comments: “ABC leads the field in leisure hire and clearly sees the benefits of ensuring its moorers have access to assistance and support 24/7. With competition increasing annually for berths across the system, developing innovative packages that deliver cost savings and enhanced benefits is key to attracting new customers.”

This deal ensures that if any ABC members have issues with their engine, propulsion or electrical systems while on the waterways or at their home moorings, they have immediate access to help and assistance.”
