'All Alone' - 1 day engine familiarisation course
This course is a beginner friendly one day engine familiarisation course. It is designed for boating partners who do not normally do anything with the engine but, if they found themselves 'all alone' they would need some basic engine knowledge to help them out of difficulty.

- The courses are intended for owners of narrow beam boats, cruiser and yacht owners. These courses are designed for boat owners and potential boat owners who would like to know more about the specification and maintenance of marine diesel engines and boat services.
- What qualifications do I need to get a place?
- There are no formal entry requirements to gain access to this course.

- Extra study is not required on this course.

- During the course you will work both in the classroom and visit the workshop. The courses will be held at local colleges, and you will therefore have access to their facilities.
- Are there opportunities for work experience?
- There is no specific work experience provision built into this course.
- How will I be assessed?
- Coursework: A College certificate will be issued on completion of the course.
Exams: There are no formal exams on this course.
- What is the cost for the course?
- £60 for all other courses around the country.
