With access to four working engines, every attendee gets meaningful hands-on experience. Our fully trained tutors guide you through both classroom learning and workshop practice, and are happy to answer specific questions throughout the course.

⚡ Intermediate Electrical Systems Course
Take your knowledge to the next level with hands-on training in marine electrics.
This two-day course offers an in-depth look at engine room electrical systems and is ideal for boaters with prior experience or those who have completed our Diesel Engine & Boat Maintenance course.
Whether you’re looking to upgrade your skills or tackle more complex electrical issues onboard, this course provides the practical knowledge and confidence to do just that.

- Basic Electrical Theory – volts, amps, watts, resistance
- Voltage Drop & Wire Sizing – how to calculate and apply
- Cable Termination & Labelling – best practices for safety and clarity
- Battery Selection & Installation – types, sizing, and setup
- Testing & Fault Finding – using tools to diagnose issues
- Split Charging Systems – including multiple alternator setups
